Mastopexy
Breasts tend to sag after giving birth or after losing apparent weight. If the breast tissue is not enough or a lot then only lifting operation is performed. If the breast tissue is not enough, supporting silicon prosthesis can be applied as needed. Different sizes of prosthesis can be used depending on how much the breast tissue is needed to be enlarged. In mastopexy, where the nipple should be is determined and raised to the wanted extent. The breast tissue inside is formed to be tight with stitching that melts inside. Silicon prosthesis can be placed under the breast tissue if necessary. Removing excess skin around the breast resolves the skin looseness. The scars can be seen in different sizes around the nipple, under the breast and where the breast folds depending on the breasts structure. Operation is performed under general anesthesia and takes approximately 3-4 hours. Drains placed are removed after 1-2 days depending on the liquids color and amount. Removals of stitches are not necessary because stitches that melt are used such as in all esthetic operations. Thick bands, which support the breasts, are removed after one week and sports bras that support the breasts are worn.
