Ingrown Nail Reparation

Ingrown nails are mainly seen on the thumb of the foot. Damage and infection is formed in the soft tissue and ingrowns are seen if the nail corners grow towards the soft tissue. Growing toward the skin can be stopped if the case is mild by placing small springs on the nail. In more serious circumstances, treatment that surgically removes the nail area, which causes production toward the skin, is applied. Repetition may rarely occur despite surgical treatment. Repetition is seen due to the cells that form nail grow towards the sides again. The surgery can be performed without stitches in a closed form.
