Lower Chin Fractures

Strongest bone of our body is lower chin. But lower chin fracture is very common because it is open to trauma. Chin joint and fractures around the chin (condyl and subcondyl) can be treated by clamping together with wires. Fracture line is fixed with titanium plaque screws after correction on other area fractures. Lower and upper chins are fixed. Clamping duration of the upper and lower chins can be changed between 3 weeks to 1,5 months according to the condition of the fracture. Patients are fed with liquids during this period.
