Tip Rhinoplasty
Tip rhinoplasty is the surgery that gives form to nose cartilage and soft tissue of the nose without changing the bone structure significantly. If the patient has a little hump on the nose or bone eminentia, filing can flatten it. However, the nasal roof should not be opened. Excess in cartilage can be removed, cartilages can be joined in the midline, nose tip can be lifted, septum deviation can be corrected and nasal holes can be diminished if necessary during tip rhinoplasty. If the tip rhinoplasty process is little, sedation anesthesia and local anesthesia can be used. General anesthesia is preferred if the correction includes especially the septum. The surgery takes approximately 1-1.5 hours. Nasal tampons are removed after 1-2 days; the cast can be taken off after 5 days. Bruising and swelling is not expected as much as in rhinoplasty operations.
